What is Hydrafacial?

A HydraFacial is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration, and antioxidant protection in a single treatment. It is designed to improve the appearance of the skin by addressing various skin concerns such as fine lines and wrinkles, congested pores, uneven skin tone, and dullness.

Cleansing and Exfoliation:

The aesthetician starts by cleansing your face to remove any makeup, dirt, and oil. A gentle exfoliating solution is then applied to remove dead skin cells, allowing for better penetration of subsequent treatments.

  • Step 1: VORTEX-EXFOLIATION™ – Active-4™ serum removes dead skin cells to reveal healthy skin.
Acid Peel:

Depending on your skin type and concerns, a mild acid peel may be applied. The peel helps to further exfoliate the skin and improve its texture. The type and strength of the peel used can be adjusted to suit your skin’s needs.

  • Step 2: VORTEX-PEEL™ – GlySal™ a mixture of glycolic and salicylic acids, delivers the benefits of a peel without post-peel scaling.
Extractions:

A painless, vacuum-like suction device is used to extract impurities from your pores. This step helps to remove blackheads, whiteheads, and other debris, leaving your skin cleaner and clearer.

  • Step 3: VORTEX-EXTRACTION™ – patented, automated vortex suction painlessly cleans out pores with the exclusive Beta-HD™ serum.
Hydration and Serum Infusion:

A hydrating serum containing antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid is applied to the skin. This step helps to nourish and moisturize the skin, promoting a healthy and youthful appearance. The serum is delivered using a specialized HydraFacial device that simultaneously cleanses and infuses the skin.

  • Step 4: VORTEX-BOOST™ – Targeted, proprietary skin solutions are delivered to address specific skin concerns.
LED Light Therapy (optional):

Some HydraFacial treatments may include LED light therapy. Different colours of LED light (such as red or blue) are used to target specific skin concerns. Red light can stimulate collagen production and improve skin elasticity, while blue light can help kill acne-causing bacteria and reduce inflammation.

  • Step 5: VORTEX-FUSION® – Antiox+™ serum nourishes and protects with Antioxidants, Peptides, and Hyaluronic Acid.

Protection and Moisturization:

To complete the treatment, a moisturizer and sunscreen are applied to protect your skin from environmental damage and lock in hydration.

  • Step 6: EXTEND & PROTECT – Maintain results at home with Daily Essentials™ featuring the same ingredients used in the treatment.

*Throughout the entire procedure, the aesthetician will use gentle, sweeping motions with the HydraFacial device to ensure maximum comfort and effectiveness. The treatment typically takes around 30-45 minutes and requires no downtime, allowing you to resume your regular activities immediately afterward.

Is HydraFacial for me?

HydraFacial treatments can be tailored to address your specific skin concerns and needs. One of the benefits of HydraFacial is its versatility, allowing customization for different skin types and concerns.

When you visit the clinic for a HydraFacial, the aesthetician will typically assess your skin and discuss your specific concerns before starting the treatment. We will consider factors such as your skin type, sensitivity, acne-prone areas, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and other concerns you may have.

Based on this assessment, we can customize the treatment by adjusting the strength of the acid peel, selecting specific serums and boosters to address your concerns, and targeting particular areas of focus during the extraction process. We can also incorporate additional steps, such as LED light therapy or lymphatic drainage, to further tailor the treatment to your needs.

By discussing your goals and concerns at your consultation, we can personalize the treatment to address your specific skin issues and optimize the results of the HydraFacial for you. It’s important to communicate openly with the aesthetician and provide them with any relevant information about your skin history, allergies, or sensitivities to ensure a safe and effective treatment.
